Waterless Wash

I use various methods depending on the level of dirt. No mater what method you use, you have to touch the paint. Your goal is to minimize the damage you cause when you touch the paint.

quick detailer does not have the same level of lubricity as the waterless washes.

SprayOn CarWash is literally slippery if you get any on the floor and you walk over it as if it was soapy water.

I use Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax. I actually spray foam, spray rinse, and use a force dryer on my car, while never touching it. Then I follow-up with the MUWW to get things perfect. I'm going to be switching to Optimum No Rinse soon in hopes of eliminating the spray and dry step altogether.

Truth but told, I had Opti-Coat applied to every inch of the car when it was a few days old by my detailer (wheels inside and out, trim, EVERYTHING). I would say Opti-Coat is the secret sauce in keeping a car clean and minimizing maintenance. I will never wax the car, the clear coat has a permanent protection on it that is extremely resistant to scratches from washing and cleaning, bugs and droppings fall right off the car, and the car will always bead up like it has as fresh coat of wax.

My biggest problem with the heat lately has been water spots, but since they are on top of the Opti-Coat, they wipe right off.

Thanks for all the feedback. Went ahead and ordered the Adams Waterless Wash. Tried it out last night. I'm amazed how well it works. Very easy to use. Hd it out in the bright sun today and couldn't see any micro-scratches at all.

I got Griot's kit, which has a gallon of the wash, a smaller spray bottle, and a bunch of micro fiber towels. Using the towels that come with the kit has given me good scratch-free results.
