Default question about sealant then waxing!

So ive noticed that after i lay down some Meguiars sealant 2.0 then wax, its leaving oily like streaks and spots. hard to really explain.

If i take my rag and really wipe it hard it comes out. whats causing this?

..... on the other side of the car i simply cut it then applied wax, no issue!!! :/

I want to make sure i got a proper sealant first though....

any help....would be great.

Not really sure. I would like to know because I'm buying these products too.

Ive just used Adam's quick sealant and their Buttery Wax and they work perfectly together!

There were also about 8 other steps too but that's not what is in question here.

those two products you are using probably arent meant to go together.

I recommend using Adams if you get the chance. I have nothing but good things to say about their products

I haven't used Meguiars 2.0, but I have used Meguiars NXT 2.0 and Ultimate. I've layered Meguiars Yellow carnauba over the top of both with good results. Are you sure the sealant is completely dry? I usually apply the sealant on one day and the wax on the following day.

im letting the sealant dry for like 10-15 min. its probably a chemical thing.

think im going to skip this 2.0 sealant and use my opti-seal then wax.

My guess is that the sealant is not cured enough before you are applying the wax. See this thread on auto-geek

how long to add sealant then wax? - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum

how long does the label say to let the sealant sit before applying a second coat or wax?

It can also take longer to cure if it is humid ...
