i prefer less steps the better. because the more steps you have, the more chance you will have to scratch the paint or clear coat.
The reason for the numerous steps is only for applying Zaino for the first time. After that you will only use the z6 and z8 polishes along with the car wash soap from time to time! When I had my black 350z this stuff worked miracles with the car and black paint. It is o.k. to use the dawn for the one time it will not hurt the car...
