Interior detailing?
The sales suggested that i use a non oil base solution on the hard plastic on the dash cause oil based cleaning solutions will trap heat under the coat of oil thus damaging the plastic.
what have you been using to clean the dash with? |
So far, just a swiffer duster. Mine has not gotten anything besides dust on it. So no need to clean it with anything.

Adam's In & Out spray works nicely to shine it up!
|
i use the armorall wipes, they seem sticky when applying it, but after you let it dry the shine is perfect.

I use the 1z Cockpit Premium also. Works pretty well and I follow with a very light application of Adam's Leather conditioner. I used Adam's Leather & Interior cleaner in the past, but that alone will leave a white residue on the surface once it dries. You need to use it sparingly and follow up with the conditioner. The in & out spray works well for the engine bay, but I personally don't like the shine and want to leave as natural looking as possible. I use a damp cloth to clean the Alcantara, but I think leather master makes a foam cleaner specifically for Alcantara if you need something stronger. Armor All is okay if you get the "natural finish" type. I stay away from pretty much anything else they make.

appreciate the advise guys

i use primarily Prima Nero 50/50 diluted with distilled water. you can get nero from phil over at detailersdomain.com
Nero is a more matte finish than Aerospace303. both are water based and does not get shiny or oily or crappy like armorall crap. i recommend dressing the door panels with this stuff BEFORE getting any scuffs from your shoes. :) |

I just use a damp towel and wipe down. No addatives or detergents... Haven't had to do the Z dash yet though. The Z-Dash is differnt though, texture seems like it might be an issue. The only thing you can hope from these things is that they don't break down the plastic or that they provide some form of UV protection. Better off using one of those front windshield shades. I just picked up one of those springy fold out ones that turns into a plate size disk. It was around $8 at the local auto parts store. |
^^^^ +1 on the windshield shade, car is definately cooler when I have to park outside also!!!
