Sandy Surface, what should I use?

I have always been anal about cleaning/washing/waxing so I am pretty good at keeping the car clean/wax.

370 as a secondary car and we were renovating the living room with spackle and sanding, I was dirty so I did not drive the car the whole week. Now even I washed it, there's a very thin layer (you can't see it) of sandy feeling when I run my finger across the paint surface. I have to rub my finger kinda hard a few times then it would come off and feel very smooth again.

What should I use to get this layer of crap of? Turtle Wax Compound Polishing?:shakes head: I am kind of ticked off :(

Thanks,

You should use a mild clay bar with some QD or car wash solution as a lubricant. My favorite mild clay is Automagic blue clay but there are several good clays out there, this will remove the light overspray/sanding that has adhered to the paint and since it is mild clay, it will not mar the paint either.

claying your car should do the trick. If you search you should find some good info and I believe some vids
