Rock chips, pits in bumper...
I am at a loss here... bought my 40th with approx 14k on it and there were not more than 2 or 3 rock chips (very slight) anywhere on the car... I have had it for approx 2k miles and have noticed another 6 at least. Obviously I am doing something wrong here... Car is garaged kept and I don't drive overly aggressively, on dirty/damaged roads, or follow trucks closely.
Just recently clay barred the entire car (wow what a dif) and I frequently wash wax. I wash it at least 1-2x a week and generally try to keep my hands off the paint by using a mild pressure nozzle with a soap adapter and a leaf blower. Really my question is how can I clean up the front bumper. Has there been any success in removing some of that raised paint on your average chip? I think that is the worse part... looks like a mini-meteor hit my car haha. I'm def over-reacting but the softness of our paint really gets to me. |

Man, you have it good. Mine has at least 10x more chip marks. Dr. Colorchip worked good on concealing them, but they are still noticeable. I get rocks and all sorts of crap everywhere in my city.
Agreed on the softness!! I thought it was just me, but I was like damn that scratched pretty fast. . . |

chips
Man, i really try to stay away from other cars. keep my distance. It has paid off. My black 2009 has really nothing to speak of BUT I do have a clear bra. I also dilegently use a all in one cleaner/polisher and Meguires Ultimate detailer evrytime i come in. I normally dont drive it during rush hours as i have a daily driver.
