interior cleaning help
Ok, so after getting my car back from the bodyshop there appears to be paint overspray in little white spots on the interior plastics. I managed to get some of them off using a 50/50 solution of Adam's All Purpose cleaner. I just recently ordered a gallon on Adams detail spray, so i was going to try and be economical and use that for the interior dressing since i have soo much.
So, what do you guys think of using the all-puropse cleaner to clean the interior and then come at it with the Adam's detail spray? |
Hey not sure what you are really trying to ask here..but from what I understand you want to use both the detailer and all purpose cleaner to clean your interior, should be fine, I use the Armorall wipes for my inside they work the best, they leave a nice shine and they arent sticky. You can get it at any auto store, or even at gas stations. Hope that helps. :tiphat:

Most detailing sprays work fine on plastic and rubber, however avoid getting any on carpet, cloth, suede, or leather. I use quick detailer to wipe down the dash, gauges and hard plastics almost after every drive along with a quick vacuum. I know, I have a bit of OCD haha.
However, it will not leave a dressed look and will not really treat and protect plastic and rubber like a dedicated dressing such as 303 Aerospace Protectant will so there are limitations to using quick detailing in that manner. |
Best advice I can give you is to control where you spray any cleaners or chemicals on the interior. Many people seem to treat interiors with a "spray first worry about consequences of overspray later" mentality. When possible spray the products onto the applicator or towel, not directly onto the surface. If this isn't feasible then try to use a towel to block overspray from surrounding surfaces to prevent getting the wrong chemical on the wrong area.

thanks guys.. I think i found the best solution for now.
1. 50/50 all purpose cleaner to clean the interior 2. super VRT to dress the interior (at first i wasnt too fond of the shine, but it fades) 3. Detail spray for dusting.. after buying some glass sealant and a few others, i will probably get some 303, 1z, or adams interior. |
