Gray spots on hood?

2 Attachment(s)
Purchased a new 370Z a week ago. I noticed a few days ago there are 4 small gray spots on the hood. After I washed the car the first time, I noticed the 4 small gray spots did not disappear. It almost looks like remanence of water or bug splatter. I have a feeling it was on there before I got the car.

Is there anything that can remove it like Goof Off? Should I have the dealership look at it?

I have a 2009 370, silver in color, and have the exact same gray spots (a handful of them) on the hood. I am guessing they came from the factory??

It's only on my hood. Do you still have them or were you able to remove them? If so, how?

I tried 3 different washes and still no luck.

if it's bird crap etching it's under the clearcoat possibly into the basecoat... you wont be able to polish it out.

if it's water stain then it might still be at the surface and can be removed with polish.

try Meguair's ScatchX with a foam pad. do not use the cotton pads. :)
read the instructions and give it light elbow grease, 4-5 apps.

I had the same spots... claybar and a microfiber towel for the win...

Easy fix.
