The bra is not difficult to maintain if you use a good sealant on it. It will minimize scuffs and prevent staining or etching in the film. The key is to keep it on there and re-apply as needed... before the issue occurs. I give all of my clients a bottle of sealant with the install so that it can be properly maintained.

By the way as soon as you repaint your car you just lost a lot in depreciation as the next owner does not know what the extent of the damage was that caused the respray. You also have to worry about matching the color properly which is not easy with some colors these days.
