The filters can be cleaned with salt water overnight and basically can be used forever but have to be cleaned after a certain amount of water has been run through it.

Just thought i'd give everyone a heads up in case you might have been looking for something like that as well. The water here is soooooooooo bad it leaves horrible mineral deposits

keep us posted on how well this works, hard water can be pretty bad here in houston.

I've had this set-up for I guess 4 or 5 days. I personally think it does much better. The paint looks "softer" after a wash and dry, but that could always be the placebo effect too I suppose lol.

Our roomate has lived here for about 8 years and he, like I said that the water runs off of the car better. Again, could be placebo, but if there are less deposits, then perhaps it is helping to run better... makes sense I suppose.

Everyone that lives here however DOES agree that the water now has no odor as before when it was very just... well it stunk. Anyway, After about I believe it said for the 2 filter setup I will have to soak the filters in salt overnight... no big deal. The salt was 7.00 at Lowes for a 40 lb bag.

Overall I would have to say at the very least it works better than it did and when it comes to a cars finish, that's always better.
