fixing a door ding :(

Do you guys know if the fact that our doors are aluminum will pose a problem in a door ding repair by a dent doctor? Thanks!!

I paid for paintless dent repair when I bought the car. Good question as I haven't had to use it.

I had a tiny dent removed from the driver's side door by a PDR guy without a problem. It was barely noticeable before, and it looks absolutely perfect now.

Cool! Thanks! I watched a vid on utube and saw the guy did not heat up the metal, which is how I thought they did it, but rather he used some sort of tool, and using leverage, worked the dent out from behind.....pretty cool!!

Did he remove your door panel?

A common fix for car problems like this is the dry ice method.. but I don't recommend it since the result is not great.. look for a good paintless dent removal service instead..

Our aluminum doors don't pose a problem to the PDR people... They are just soft and easily pick up Door Dings unlike those Miata Doors...

I wish there could be a DIY for switching out our doors with the Miata's would save alot of fixing all these repairs.

There is a DIY, but for the price you could buy a new 458 italia... but then again the doors don't burst into flames like the Ferrari so it might be a good mod...
