YouTube - junkman2000 two bucket

Seems to be a solid system. There are a lot of threads on this, though.

make sure you have a full understanding of how to wash the car properly with the right products and equipment before you actually go ahead and wash it. If you do it wrong you'll have swirls. You're better of letting the paint stay dirty for an extra few days while you gather all the products, then washing it once you have everyhing.

Heres what you need at a bare minimum in order to not be damaging your paint:

-Hose with a good nozzle
-Car wash soap (decide for yourself what you want)
-2 - 5 gallon buckets
-2 Grit guards
-2 lambswool wool wash mits (3 is better). some prefer microfiber, either are good.
-several waffle weave microfiber drying towels. try to get tagless or at least just make sure you take off the tags

search youtube for how to wash a car with 2 bucket method with grit guards. this should get you started.

I just spent 300 dollars at an online store buying all the items you described Jeff, plus a few more, I am buying into the idea of an electric leaf blower like the guy in the video uses.
Thanks for all the help guys, you all have a lot of knowledge! I love this car, I hate the fact that I am away on business and cant drive it!!

Awesome set of videos. I was laughing my *** off at the 2:50 mark of part 2 (where gets a phone call).

Thank you for this, I'll be following this for my first wash as well.

I don't have time to order from Amazon since I want to wash it tomorrow after the rain is gone - where do you suppose one gets all the products for a reasonable price?

Adjustable Hose Nozzle
The quick disconnect adapter he used
Foam Gun
2 buckets with Grit Guards
Wash mitts

And what products does he use in the foam gun, etc.?

Thanks again!

$300??? Can you briefly itemize what you bought at what prices? Yikes, was not looking to spend this much but if it's what will keep my paint nice then I gotta put up the bucks.

If you don't want to use the products from the vid, I'm sure you could do a search on the net and find other brands that do the same. But if you go to Adams Polishes [dot] com you'll find that they have a kit that you can buy for a ridiculous price.

I seemed to have picked everything out to keep it around $200. I still cannot figure out what the heck he's putting in the foam gun? Did I completely miss something?

My list of products for the right wash
