Video - The Pooling or Sheeting Rinse Process
Hey boys and girls, this is the technique that I use in order to remove as much water from the car, which drastically shortens the time and resources needed to completely dry your car. This is a must do if you dry your car by hand. After the pooling rinse, I use a leaf blower to finish up the drying process. This means that I avoid touching the paint, which also decreases the opportunity for me to scratch the paint. The process is rather simple but is remarkable in how effective it is. Enjoy!

Junkman, glad you could join!
I've used this process on my last 3 washes, and it cuts drying significantly. Prior to using this method, I would need a second towel to dry the car. |
Not only would you need a second towel, you would also have the wring the first towel a significant amount of times in order to get through the drying process. Also, once a towel gets soaked, it tends to leave water spot trails behind, which then require detail spray to remove. The pooling rinse eliminated all that.

I love seeing water pool up and slide off. This also validates if you've done a good job with the upkeep of your car- if your car is clean, the pooling occurs much easier than if its still dirty.
During rainy days, I love seeing the water collect and fly off the car when i'm driving. I'm weird I know. Thanks for the new video! I can't wait for this snow and bad weather to end. I need to clean the sand and dirt that's collected from the road treatments... |
