I've got a small scratch on the aluminum dash behind the steering wheel and it's annoying to look. Do you think I could use some paint cleaner/polisher to buff it

Scratch on aluminum dash ...
I've got a small scratch on the aluminum dash behind the steering wheel and it's annoying to look. Do you think I could use some paint cleaner/polisher to buff it out? I'm afraid the cleaner/polisher may leave behind fine scratches.
