I would not have done anything to that clear bra but what the installer recommended. I would not use anything on that clear bra but what the installer recommended. Other than washing and drying it, that would be my suggestion. It is not paint so you can't treat it like paint. The more you do to it, the worse it is for it.

Make sure that you use painters tape to mask off the edges of it. You do not want the polisher rubbing up against the lines of it.
