I notice the streaks sometimes too. Then I realized it's not the detail spray causing the streaks, its the water thats on the surface. Try just drying the car first,

I notice the streaks sometimes too. Then I realized it's not the detail spray causing the streaks, its the water thats on the surface. Try just drying the car first, and then go over the areas with the detail spray as required.
Also, make sure what your using to dry is clean. Contaminants could already be on the drying towels.
