Give it a few months and it starts wearing off. I just took a bright light to some rock chips I had done about 2 months ago and I could see white. It definitely needs to be redone. If anything, IMO this should only be used for small, hairline scratches rather than chips.

Photos hide the imperfections. I took pics but didn't post them because of it. It's like photos of plasti dip, looks great in pics but not so much in person.

Interesting.
I've used it for three years now with great results. It takes patience, and once you learn how to properly fill different depths of chips, good results will show. I've found proper drying time is definitely affected by humidity. Getting the feel of that is crucial to good results as well. I've never had it wear way. I wonder if color has something to do with it. I've used it on an '07 Aberdeen Green MDX, an '08 Amethyst Graphite G37S, and an '08 Silver Toyota Tacoma - all metallic paint.

nice to see people have had success with this, I have a couple of chips on the hood I'd like to get rid of so I think I'm gonna give it a try

Tamiya acrylic paints...mmhmm...and a good sealer like....future floor wax....covers well and makes it really "pop"
I keed I keed. I'm interested in this as well. I have a few I really want to cover up before i look into a clearbra. I was thinking of just getting the pens from the dealership. |

The product works as advertised. The problem is, people do not follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter, and then bad mouth the product because it doesn't work as they expected it to. I see this often on all kinds of forums, especially detailing forums. Products like this must be used as designed and if you don't, your results will reflect it.

I use the stuff every time I get a chip and it works very well. The larger and/or deeper the chip, the harder it is to get a "perfect" fix but the results are always a significant improvement.
Plus, its safe. If you screw up, just wipe it off and start over. |
