The reason that it is applied under a wax is to help hold it in place. That's what makes it last longer. However, you don't apply it under a sealant because a sealant has to cure or adhere to the paint. That's why it is applied on top of a sealant.

Thanks for the tips Junkman! After watching all of these videos, I have fixed most of the damage cause by the dealership on delivery. The car had swirls, webbing, and holographic images due to poor rotary buffer technique. I shot a quick video of my paint after I was done. Junkman, thank you for being such a nice guy to post all this. I was a complete novice to all this and stared at the wall of products at my autozone and decided very quickly that I needed to school myself. I came here first and saw your sticky and it probably saved my car from the inevitable trial and error I would have had to do other wise.

You made it very simple and easy to understand. Thanks for helping us newbies!!!

Also UTAMAV that looks amazing! People will ask you where you had it done and you can tell them, I did it.

You did it the smart way my friend. I bought everything that Western Auto, Pep Boys and any other auto store had to sell back in the 80's when I was trying to figure out this stuff. There was no You Tube back then so the learning curve was steep and costly. I'm glad that I saved you the headache.

The kit certainly makes it easy, plus 10% off is like 40 some bucks saved. Might just go this route and order through Adams just to save me the hassle of picking everything out myself.

That's definitely the way to go. Here's the deal.

Nothing in my kit is for frills. EVERYTHING has a specific and necessary purpose. I'm not in this for the sale, as I don't get any kickback on any amount of those kits that are sold. I was asked to put together what I feel is a kit that covered every aspect of my videos and that is the kit that I put together. Thus, picking and choosing the items individually and trying to do what I do in my videos is really just cutting yourself off at the knees. I've taken all the hard work out of figuring out what you need. All you have to do is pick it up in one kit.
