Default Remove scratches on the wheels?

So my boy was helping me wash the car the other weekend, and a sponge used to put on wheel shine has a green scrubie side to it as well. The green scrubie side was accidently used to clean a small part of the wheel, and now that section has what looks like scuff marks on it. Not super visible, mind you, but enough to make me want to know how to remove them.

Will a metal wheel polish remove the marks?

Thanks in advance.
