Due to popular demand, Here is my Zaino write up
*NOTE I am not affiliated with Zaino whatsoever, in fact I rarely uses Zaino on detailing cars unless customer request it, I personally find some other products more effective then Zaino*
But since everyone is PMing me about detail problems here are my Zaino write up Here's what you do: ***PRINT THIS OUT SO YOU CAN READ IT WHILE YOUR DOING YOUR CAR*** In case you forgot some steps. first there are couple of things you need to buy 1. Dawn Liquid Dish Soap (Original Scent, the blue one, no extra additive or anything, just the basic one, it's to use to strip off your previous LSP (last step protection) such as waxes and sealants etc.) 2. A good sprayer bottle, 24 oz preferably, they have them at Target for about $4 or Home Depot, you need that to make your claybar lubricant. 3. Couple of good drying towels for your car and buff towels for the Z2 sealant. As far as that's all you really need, get some good tire dressing and some good all purpose cleaner/degreaser for your wheels and fender. so to start off, completely wash your vehicle with dawn liquid detergent, about 2-3oz of it with atleast 4 gallons of water, wash very lightly, you don't want to be causing swirls on your paint. And completely rinse it off and now mix 2 cap full of Z7 car wash shampoo in the spray bottle to make clay lube. SPRAY A LOT of lube on the car, I MEAN A LOT or else you'll get clay marring. completely clay the car down from top to bottom. You should only use one piece, (it comes with 2) And remember after every panel to fold the clay so you'll start with a fresh surface everytime. After claying you'll want to mix about 2 OZ of Z7 car wash in a 4 gallon water bucket and re-wash your car to et clay residues out. After completely drying the car you're ready to start layering your Z2 sealant. So use the little 4 OZ bottles that they provided, mix about 2 drops of the small tiny blue bottle thingy (cure accelerator) with about 4 oz of sealant, SHAKE it up for about 3 to 5 min, that is going to speed up the curing time of the sealant. You can also use without that blue thingy it'll just take longer. So apply the Z2 in VERY VERY thin layers, I mean it, less is more. Thoroughly you'll put about one line of polish on your applicator per panel, let it cure for about 30 min to an hour, buff off and wipe it down with the Zaino gloss enhancer spray, and REAPPLY a second coat of Z2, same procedure, let it cure, buff off and wipe with gloss enhancer, now by this point you should call it a day, it'll take another day to apply another layer of it. I usually stop with 2 coats a day, and 2 more coats the next day. That'll leave your finish super wet looking. And remember, LESS is more with the sealant. So here's to recap the process 1. wash with dawn soap 2. make clay lube with Z7 shampoo, clay the car 3. rewash this time with z7 shampoo, and dry 4. mix 4 oz of Z2 with 2 drops of ZXF (little blue bottle), shake for 5 min. 5. apply Z2 in thin coats, a line of polish on your applicator for every penal, (hood and top of vehicle maybe 2 lines.) 6. let it sit to a haze for about 30 to 60 min, have a beer and buff off. 7. Wipe down with gloss enhancer wipe and a good plush microfiber towel 8. Reapply Z2 again in thin coats and repeat to buff off after 30-60 min 9. Wipe it down with gloss enhancer, and call it a day. For maximum results though, continue the same process the next day with Z2 and Gloss enhancer, try to get as many coats on there as you can, but don't do more then 2 a day. 10. Sit back and watch your car gets uber shiny. Mix contents -about 3-4 oz of dawn soap with 4 gallons of water -2 capful of Z7 shampoo in a spray bottle with water (make more if your run out.) -about 2 oz of Z7 shampoo in a 4 gallon water bucket -2 drops of ZFX and 4 oz of Z2 and for routine washes after your done with Zaino is just 2 caps of Z7 and 4 gal of water. phew now that DIY is done lol....enjoy And you might wonder why we never touched the Z5 car polish, to me that **** doesn't work well. I'd just stick to Z2, it's a really good sealant, more then enough to do what you're trying to achieve. That's why I thought Zaino was overrated and never bought from them again, I use other detailing products now that are better imo. to be honest I personally hate clearbra because you have to take extra precaution working around those areas. Its a good investment but as far as maintanence you can use 303 Aero Protectant or Zaino, it doesn't matter but the film is quite forgiving so you don't I repeat DON"T need to rub hard or use abrasives. I've used 303, Zaino, and Victoria paste wax and other stuff over it with no negative effects. Cleaning is usually the problem you'll run into, bugs, tars, etc gets stuck. A good quick detailer would remove it with a quality microfiber towel & Light pressure. Spray some quick detailer on towel first to prime it and then wipe it up. Film is very easily scratched with a poor quality microfiber towel. Use a good detailing brush from Swissvax Zymol and some quality towels and you should be okay. Hope this helped.
