Cleaning NOT polishing chrome.
Specifically chrome mufflers like FI and others.
The only cleaner I can find is Mothers ALL-Chrome spray. MSDS shows primarily Isopropyl alcohol and some preservative agent. https://mothers.com/products/califor...l-chrome-05222 So no abrasves and no acids, which is good. I have initially cleaned the mufflers with Windex (very popular) and seems to have done the job. Should I just continue with Windex until its time for a Polish? or add the Mothers into my cleaning routine? Anyoen used this product?

The cans on the FI are stainless steel. I use a wheel cleaner to clean them. Then i go over with Flitz cleaner and polish. I do the is thing with polish aluminum.

In that case, I'll continue to use Windex until the time to polish. A million types of polishes out there.

I like the fact that the Flitz is Abrasive free but worry about the chemical content. If you've used it without worry, then I guess it's mild. I was worried about the Meguires, becuase I thought its one of those awful smelling, acidic, brake dust cleaner that turns colors. It staes its acid free. Thanks. Flitz it is.

If you want a really deep clean. Mirror X. It's what the truckers use on their aluminum dumps, and trailers. I used it on the rims on my Power Wagon. https://www.puremotoringproducts.com/products/mirror-x

It's cotton afaik. Not really abrasive.
Curious as to why you're avoiding polishing as all polishes have abrasives to varying degrees. If you really don't want abrasives, then pretty much any apc will do the job.

They are brand new mufflers, so at this time I was just looking for an alternative to Windex. They don't need polishing, yet. However, you are correct, I can probably use any APC. I just thought there is something specific to chrome and polished SS. (cleaner/shine in one) The Flitz states it's abrasive, acid and solvent free. I know a lot of the other brands of polishes use some type of acid to acheive same results.
