Adam's Polishes: Mini Product Review
Just wanted to give a quick review/shout out to Adam's Polishes Products
Now these are just my thoughts and I'm sure there is a bunch of great stuff out there. But Adam's products are pretty legit... I was going through the normal wash and mini detail routine on the Juke (Nismo RS QAB) today usually accomplished by a host of "pep zone" products. Was intrigued by some of the feedback I had seen here on Adam's so gave them a shot. Ordered a bunch of stuff a couple weeks ago but here's my thoughts on the products used today: Car Shampoo Detail Spray VRT Glass Cleaner Interior Detailer All purchased here: http://adamspolishes.com Car shampoo is pretty amazing. Suds up really well and did a great job on removing about 750 miles of daily commute grime from the Inland Empire to Orange County. What I did notice (best part) was that in indirect sunlight in about 95 degree weather today there were no water spots left on the Juke as it dried. Even after a through rinse and air drying with really hard water it was no where near as bad as usual with other products. Grade: A Detail Spray by far is the easiest on and off QD that I've tried. Super glossy after wiping on and off. Best part of this product is the smell. It's freaking awesome couldn't tell you the flavor but kinda like bubble gum. Grade: A VRT is the "armorall" item in there line up. Usually I bypass this stuff all together just because usually whatever it is, is so damn greasy it gets everywhere and not worth the temporary results. VRT on the other hand made me want to apply it to every piece of plastic rubber and trim that I could! Super easy to apply and slick immediately no greasy after affect and brought the color back to some of the more sun faded pieces. Grade: A+ Glass cleaner is awesome too. Usually use windex for everything and always hated cleaning glass as part of the wash and detail process. Adam's glass cleaner is great no streaks and no leftover residue. Also side note the windshield was in direct sun by the time I got around to it and the glass cleaner went on and came off like a champ. Same condition for windex and it would literally start to steam and bake itself on the windshield. Not with this stuff. Grade: A Last but not least their Interior Detailer performance is very good as well. Same feelings on the interior as with the "armorall" usually just took a clean wet rag to all surfaces and called it a day. This much like the VRT goes on easily and is slick to the touch as soon as you put it on. Grade: A Overall super impressed with Adam's products and they definitely have a new customer when the first batch runs out. Waiting to do a real detail on the Z till next weekend it'll be interesting to see how it does on the mag black vs. the pearl white. Other items to be used: Visco Clay Bar w/geometric tool Marino wash mitt and a host of towels and applicators Revive Polish Buttery Wax Brilliant Glaze Tire shine H2O Guard and Gloss All Purpose Cleaner I'll post up my thoughts on the others after they get used... Last thing: I mentioned that the detail spray smells great but all of the products come to think of it smell pretty good. No weird chemically smell from anything.

And well worth it.. I used coupon codes and purchased kits to drive the unit prices down. I was at the point where it was time to do a "rip and replace" with everything I had so I went for it. Glad I did.

In for the PW Z detail review..
I've been looking at Adam's Polishes for awhile and with them now being local; I might pull the trigger based on your review. Also, did you order a kit or the products individually? |

Sometimes love has no limits! I love my Z, I would spend big bucks to maintain and protect it. That said, I am sure that some car care products from Walmart or Target work fine as well.

I have been using Adam's products for awhile now and i agree they are great.
Wash, then detail, buttery wax. Next time wash, Guard n'gloss, detail. Pollen season just blows off easily. A+ rating from me.

Started with the Adams essentials kit: http://adamspolishes.com/shop/kits/a...etail-kit.html Then went overboard from there

Yeah there's a lot of great videos associated with the products I learned quite a bit about techniques. One that stood out was to make sure and treat all the rubber and plastics on the car prior to applying polishes or waxes. That way you don't get the white residue when you touch one of those sections.

I am not saying they are bad products. I will be clear with that.
However. 8 oz of polish for $20 vs other brands out there that out perform and are half the price. I would recommend looking into Stay Fresh Car Care / Premium Car Care Supplies We can all love our Z and not get ripped off at the same time. Here is just one example HCC9 from SF is $80 a kit and offers 9H vs Adams 7H $150 kit. Just because its more expensive doesn't mean its better! Last edited by RyanWest; 05-06-2017 at 01:24 AM. |

Adam's Polishes: Mini Product Review
And on to the next...
Finally got some time last weekend to get into detailing the Z. Products used: Visco clay bar with geometric tool (Detail Spray for lubricant) Revive hand polish Brilliant Glaze Buttery Wax As for the claying process this by far was the most time intensive but well worth step in the detail. The paint overall was really rough bumpy to touch on most of the horizontal surfaces. Spent about 2 hours claying the whole car. Spent most of the time really getting the hood roof and hatch 100% smooth to touch. The geometric tool was an interesting twist on the normal hand claying. The visco clay itself is very pliable and molded over the tool with minimal effort. Also having the tool to grip with the clay saved my hands the next day for sure. Grade: A Next was the Revive Hand Polish. This product went on very smooth (pudding like consistency) and made some strides on the very minor scratches and imperfections on the Z's paint. Really helped in getting the Mag Black back to Black. Before this even though the paint looked pretty good it was a bit dull and slightly oxidized. Now after a coat of revive it looks black and the flake can be seen in low light. Removing the polish was pretty easy but between this the Glaze and the Wax the most difficult (as expected). Grade: A Brilliant Glaze was the next step in the process. This product is liquid so having the hex applicator to apply was key. Glaze went on with no effort whatsoever, its liquid so a fast swipe back and forth was all it took. After a couple seconds it hazes up and after buffed off revealed a mirror like finish. Used 2 types of towels in the process (single soft and borderless grey) for me the single soft on the Glaze was perfect as it has a finer weave than the borderless grey towels. The grey towels did knock off the polish and wax with ease and I found flipping them over less than other towels that I've used in the past. Brilliant Glaze Grade A+ At this point I thought about stopping because the before and after was so much better. After a little researching I found that applying the Buttery Wax would help keep the shine from the Glaze longer so I went for it. Similar consistency to the pudding like polish but way smoother. Interesting about the wax the application went on how I expected really smooth and a quick spray of detail rewetted the hex applicator anytime I had to step away, but the surprising thing was after it had time to dry it seemed to turn into powder. This made it really easy to take off with the grey towels. And I noticed that any rubber trim or black plastic I touched with it wasn't stained white after the fact (pre treated all of these areas with Adam's VRT prior). After I finished I took a single soft towel and gave the car a final once around to pick up anything I missed. Very pleased. Grade: A+ Last but not least was the tire shine. Or banana smoothie in a spray bottle... I had previously used the VRT on the Jukes tires with impressive results, this product is as good but provides a bit more shine than the VRT. It gives a glossy wet look if your into that sort of thing on your tires. Grade: A Overall still very impressed with the Adam's products and price point. And the Z looks very very happy: Next up for the product reviews is the H2O guard and gloss, Marino soft mitt, carpet and upholstery cleaner, and oder neutralizer.

Thanks for the review on the tire shine - I think I'm happy with VRT based on your comments. And I really love the Glaze and Buttery Wax. Definitely don't ever leave the Glaze on top - it is not a protectant and will not last.
I just wish I could keep my car clean longer than a few days. I use their Liquid Sealant for longer lasting results. If I have the time (rare these days), I'll top it with a layer of Buttery Wax for that ultra deep shine Try The Rag Company Pfluffle towels if you haven't yet
