I use a leaf blower/vac to dry my car and it has no filter. I can't imagine ever worrying about any minute 'stuff' it might ingest that would hit my car while I use it. It isn't like I dry my car during a dust or sandstorm. It would be real easy to add some sort of media over the inlet if I wanted to, but I hardly see the point. I figure any sort of media that would offer effective filtering just might be too restrictive. Either it would get ingested, chewed up and spit out, (or worse, jam it up) or hinder the cooling of the motor. One thing is certain. If I used it as a vacuum I'd never use it to dry my car again.
OP.....thanks for posting up your find here. Seems perfectly viable to me since the blower detaches. It isn't like simply reversing a vacuum to use as a blower. Not wild about those ones. 104 |

As do I. No sense in being overly anal about it....Been doing it for 5 years, no issues.
