As per the title, my headlights were yellow, so I went and got a headlight restoration kit. Cleaned it up according to instructions. Looks good right? Sweet 2 weeks yellow...

I used this one a few months ago and still good
I went over the headlights with sandpaper a few times before I got it all good and clean After polish I did a few applications of the protection

Polish/buff them again then spray with clear coat. If you had an über-awesome friend like mine who custom-installs clear bra, have a panel cut and fitted.

As others have mentioned, the sealer is the critical part. Make sure you follow directions exactly.

Fixed.
Seriously, though... I would only use those for glass, and door jambs and the like. They are doing more harm to your paint then good.

Like POS VETT mentioned above. I will wet sand with 1000 grit, and then 1500 grit, wash and dry, and spray with an aerosol clear coat. they look like new when done.

The Eagle Edgeless towels from The Rag Company are like buffing your car with a baby bunny. They are as soft, or softer than the 12 dollar Wolfgang towel that came free with my Wolfgang Fuzion wax.

I also use the eagle edgeless. A simple rule to follow....If you drag it across your open palm, and it tries to stick, keep it away from your paint.
I'm positive the Junkman has a video on microfiber out there. Give it a look.

A simple, inexpensive and effective solution for headlight restoration is to apply toothpaste in small circular motions, allow a haze to form and simply buff it out. Once it is restored, apply a high quality wax to the headlight and buff out. You will be amazed.
