Is it just me or is the paint a little thin?

This may not be the advice you're looking for but for what it's worth I used to be super anal about my car's paint/bumpers/scratches etc... I am still very careful,

I am still very careful, avoiding driving behind trucks, going out of my way for a good parking spot, but nonetheless sometimes you'll pick up a little ding or rock chip. It just happens and there is really nothing you can do about it. You can put on a clear bra for $600 and it will probably work great but IMO they look goofy up close (to be fair they are VERY discreet even 5 feet away) and I can almost guarantee you that the next rock you encounter will end up 1" above the clear bra...

My advice - just chill out and still take great care of her. But at the end of the day the front of the car is just going to see a little abuse and try to remember it will not be noticed or bug ANYBODY but you. Don't obsess over the minor things and you'll find they don't really have the power to bother you anymore.

My Scotchguard clearbra works great. Two years, 10,000 miles ...not a single rock chip and absolutely zero bug etching. Absolutely worth the $600.
