The car was waxed like a month ago but sat in a shop for about two weeks, I was hoping the wax would still hold up and hopefully this crap wouldn't damage the clear coat.

I'll have to reach out to one of my detailer friends and see if they can help.

My Harry is blackcherry. I had water spots that i could not get off. Tried different cleansers. Tried using the water softener water instead of straight out of spigot. Different hose nozzles to prevent spots when rinsing. I tried drying immediately. Nothing worked.
Turns out a bit of off hand advice from my forum GTGs (Alcheng and Kenchan) worked. Harry just needed a good clay barring and a really good wax job. Voila'. No more spots. Until my wax gets yucky and thin again anyways. So don't panic just yet.
Just my
yah, claybar and if that doesnt do it, just polish it off. use some scratch-x 2.0 on a foam pad.

i recommend u get a random orbital to do it though cause it will take some time doing it all by hand.. lol

Yep. When it comes to paint care, Junkman2008 is the local guru. I haven't seen all his paint care videos but he probably already has one that fits your needs; maybe even one about your specific "staining" problem.

So it looks like the sun is helping a bit...most of it has faded away except on passenger side door panel - will leave it out in the sun for a few days and rewash to see what happens.

You need to spend a few days watching Junkman videos His Youtube channel is Junkman2000.

Don't clay a dirty car. Wash then clay. If the car is clean enough, you can use some QD or waterless wash to wipe it down before claying.
