Would you mind telling me how you sold your car? I have mine listed for a year asking $38k. It's a 2010 nismo tt. Professional build. I spent a bunch of money on the safety aspect for the engine and trans. Added a surge pump extra fan Stillen front bumper vented carbon hood heat shielding on many components KW V3 suspension. Camber kit etc..... I get more people asking if I want to part it out. I can't believe someone e would rather spend $30 to $35 to do their own build vs getting one that is do e for $10k over a stock 370. Can you help me understand how they do that math?

just a bit of perspective from a 40yr old that is looking to buy a TT, clean/classy is the key, i'm not going to drive a pinata doesn't matter how much money you have in it, if this car was still for sale i'd be making offers.

It's not about math. Most people don't want to take over someone else's project car. Especially when that project car is a turboed factory NA car. The reasons are many. They want to have the experience of doing it themselves. They want it modded 'their' way. Or regardless of who the seller is and how honest you might be its always going to be in the back of people's minds why you are selling. Is there a problem the buyer doesn't know about. Then there's people like me that wouldn't own a FI car that was installed by anyone else. I know there are a lot of good tuners/shops out there but there are very few people willing to be as anal with my build as I am. Wish you luck on your sale but selling a completed FI build is always going to be difficult if you expect to get above the blue book value of the car. Remember car modding is like owning a boat. You are just pouring money down the hole. |
