Out for a drive
So I wanted to test my go pro out and decided to take set it up on my way to 7-11 haha
Shot it in 1440 cropped to 16x9 , Main test was my rode shotgun external mic mount on the licence plate other then a weird interference noise at the start in the parkade it worked pretty good. Down side is it sucked the life out of the go pro pretty quick. down a 3rd after 20 mins of shooting. gonna try and find a mic amp or possibly return this one and find a powered mic HMM wont show up when i embed it |
Thats alot of juice. We bought an external battery pack that works pretty well. It sounded good tho for sure.

Yeah I was a little surprised how much it used pretty sure the camera was fully charged. going to do more testing on mic direction and maybe try in the engine bay as well next set off :)

Sounds amazing

I got a hero 3 black as well and when shooting in 1080 and higher FPS settings it will just eat the crap outta the battery... not to mention my flash card space.
can you post a picture of where you mounted your go pro and which bracket you used? I have mine set up right beside the triple cluster on my dash at the moment but it gets a really bad glare in the day off the windshield. |
