transmision shops in gta

Need help getting my transmission repaired. Basically I step on the clutch and I can't put it in gear. Does anyone know of a good transmission shop in the GTA?

I don't know how much it'll cost to be honest. I don't know any shop that could do it. What you could also do instead of rebuilding transmission is buying another which may be cheaper. you could rebuild the broken tranny or sell it once you have the replacement. Good luck either way

OP, you have a MT or AT? Sounds like synchros maybe? If its the MT and you have a lot of miles on the car, it's probably worth replacing the CSC while the transmission work is being done - I recommend ZSpeed Heavy Duty CSC or Z1 CSC Elimination Kit.

With an 09 Z, my guess would be yes.

Maybe if you add some more detail we can help you figure out what is wrong. This is most likely a clutch problem as that is much more common unless you really grind your gears and have destroyed your synchros

Its an 2009 Mt with 41000km. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing wrong with the syncros and more likely the CSC failing or something more of that nature. When I took a quick look at the car there was no fluid left. And pressing the clutch pedal doesnt seem to engage the cluch fully. Has anyone have experience with AMS motorsports?

Where can I purchase this HD CSC locally? Or must I have to order it online? Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated.

ZSpeed is in Ohio. Z1 is in Georgia. Since Ontario isn't local to either of them, you will probably need to order it. Talk to Joe at ZSpeed for the HD CSC or John at Z1 for the CSCEK.

Check out Boost Theory. They are in Mississauga near Mavis and Dundas. The owner Zee is specialized in Nissan and Infiniti. He used to be a tech who works at Infiniti dealership so he know these cars from inside out. His number is 905 232 3444. And tell him Harvey with skyline refer you and he should take care of you.

Not a 100% sure yet... But im thinking of replacing my stock clutch and flywheel. Any suggestions on a good flywheel + clutch combo? I saw the z1 6 puck kit any thoughts on that one? Mostly for street use with spirited driving....but do plan on doing some lapping events next year. And would I need to go with an after market cmc or would a brand new OEM cmc suffice?

So far my list looks like this: CSC ek kit, new cmc, clutch, flywheel, ss limes..is there anything that I'm missing that should be replaced while I have everything apart?

New oil of course. There is no aftermarket CMC available yet. 6 puck may be too much if you're not boosted.

I would probably check out Exedy stage 1 if you want something that is slightly better than Oem. If you are looking for lighten flywheels you might as well look for Exedy hyper single or maybe Nismo super copper mix single. Those two clutches will surely makes the clutch effort as close to stock as possible but provides a lot more bite. Hope this helps.
