Does anyone's 370z have a weird thumping sound when going from parked gear to any other gear?
I've always thought my car was too new so it hasnt been worn in yet...Not sure anymore. |

I'm planning on getting winter tires and rims before the month ends. Looking at Blizzak LM 25 RFT 225/50/R18 or the LM 32 225/50/R18.
Any opinions on these tires? Also any good looking but not too expensive rims that would fit these tires? And is there anything special I need to do for the rim and tires? Or can i just replace my current sport rims/tires for these winter ones without any problems. Thanks again....Winter is coming.... |

Tbh, originally when I first bought the car, I had the "Must protect my baby from EVERYTHING" mentality.
After driving it and falling in love with the car even more, I realized, the car is a tool for me to get from home to work efficiently. If I were to garage the car for the winter, I would miss the car in the winter. I'd rather drive the car, enjoy it, and in the future, replace it with the new Z. Also...TTC sucks. I drive down don mills south because DVP is ****....TTC on don mills south is **** too...rather drive.. |

Look for wheels from a 350Z with the big brakes, "track edition" that's what I did for winter...the only thing is if you want to put the air pressure sensors in, I didn't bother so the warning light stays on for the winter.

I recognize that not everyone can afford a winter DD and they have to drive their Z year round, but I've had a lot of Z cars over the last 35 years and no one can convince me that they're more fun (or more practical) in a Minnesota winter than my good old 4x4 GMC Sierra. My 370Z in the winter does what it's best at when there's snow and ice on the street -- it sits in the garage. |

no... that's a salt on any kind of metal thing... but to each their own... there are no right or wrong answers as to whether to drive your z in the winter or not... i choose not to due to wanting to keep it as nice as possible for as long as possible... do i miss driving zeus... of course... but it makes the time i have with him that much more enjoyable... it also helps that my dd is a very nice ride too

On another note TTC = Take The Car. I rather sit in traffic in MY car than be sardine-style crammed in the subway, RT then bus... (disclosure: I live in the north end of Scarberia) |
