Test pipes/HFC's Edmonton area?

Hey guys,

I would like to get some Test pipes or HFC's installed on my Z. I have talked to several local Nissan dealers and they wont do this. I got in touch with Lightspeed Innovations down in Red Deer, and was more than willing to drive down, but communications fell off, and I havent heard back despite several calls and emails.

I found a local Nissan Tech through a friend and he doesnt want to touch it.

:ughdance:

Anywhere decent around here that will do the work? I want somewhere in Edmonton incase I get a CEL or have any issue's otherwise I would take it to Davenport in Calgary.

Go Nissan on St.Albert Trail... They do custom work and also Sherwood Nissan. Both are tuner friendly.

Also, post in the Lounge cuz we all install our own parts mostly too. Maybe someone can help out.

Thanks I'll give GO Nissan on St. Albert a try. Sherwood Nissan wont do it, and were actually fairly hostile to deal with. I had another Nissan dealer quote me 6 hours of Labour, I just laughed and laughed and laughed and then walked away from my phone without hanging it up.

When I wanted to install I was told Modifying any part of emission is illegal(true) , the shop could get fined for it. Only go to shops you know that will do it

Then it's illegal to repair your exhaust system at a Midas shop.... not stock parts... lol

emission system meaning catalytic converters not the entire exhaust system. for a car that's on the road, replacing the cats with test pipes is definitely illegal in most places AFAIK

I replaced my stock cats with aftermarket cats...Berks!

It's an emissions requirement, not "who made your cats, no matter how well they perform". If you can pass an emissions test, that's all that counts unless Alberta has a specific law that you must use oem parts when replacement is required. I somehow doubt there is a law stipulating that. No emissions tests here, thank God.

You need to get out of TO more often. There's a whole new world out there without emissions testing.:hello:

Ontario emission tests no longer use sniffers in the tail pipe. All they do is plug into your obdII port and check for codes. No codes your good to go
