so i finally got my car back and man am i pleased. i was skeptical seeing how nobody on the forum had it yet and i was gonna be the Guinea pig but it sounds amazing!!!! with the valves closed it sounds pretty much like my stock nismo exhaust sounded but with a little more rumble i guess you can say. with the valves open it screams. it honestly surprised me how loud it was and not just loud but a nice deep tone to it. i still need to get it tuned in the next few weeks so i dont know the exact gains but i can tell a difference thats for sure. so all in all i am very pleased and i say do it. hands down! i will post my write up thread on it after i get some video to put on here

I should have my car back around noon tomorrow and will post a thread on how it really sounds and what my gains are after my tune wish me luck haha.. Someone had to try it so I figured why not. I did have to wire the money but everything came within a week from Hong Kong.

Glad someone has too much money to burn. Btw, you can add a manual exhaust valve to any exhaust for $140. I'm sure someone can make it electronic for you, AND you won't have to buy a sketch Chinese exhaust

Sorry, I'm considering HK to be China, at least I'm not saying all of Asia is China

An electric valve will run you ~$250 (QTP).

i mean i wanted to mention this.......but i felt bad and let him go on his own path.

and QTP even has wireless remotes that can go on your key chain lol

could have went quality exhaust, modded the TPs with QTP valves, and had money for more mods.

to each their own. i know the excitment in having something no one else does though.

I figure I'll never drive through NM again...

Link to an electronic valve? Why mod the TPs? They don't have one that goes between the flanges?
My buddy's manual one went between the flanges in the Y-pipe so it only needed 1, and it was easy to manipulate

QTP » Electric Exhaust Cutouts

As far as I know, there is some welding required for installation.

By the looks of it, some wouldn't need to be welded in

Electric cutout motors have a high failure rate. And they always seem to fail halfway closed so it sounds like complete ***.

Ooops... you're right. I was looking at the kit that included the y-pipe.

And yeah, they tend to fail without proper maintenance. QTP recommends monthly lubrication of the butterfly valve. Yeah right

And the armytrix one operates on vacuum if I read it somewhere correctly? Or does the vacuum trigger the electric motors?

The vacuum operated ones kinda work like an internal wastegate on a turbo. It's sprung open and the vacuum sucks it shut. The electric ones are just motorized butterflies.
