to be honest, I don't real know how to set up a cruise or meet anymore.
if I post it early, most of the responses are "too early, don't know what's the plan on that day yet", and the post will get buried and people will forget it. if I post it a week or 10 days before, then most of the response are "too late, I have plans already" either way, most of the response are "I will show up if I can" where we have 15+ people ask "when is the cruise?" and eventually 20+ people replied "I have other plan" also, as you guys know we've been using the same two routes for many times, and if you would understand there's virtually no twisties around GTA area, it does take time to find some roads from the map, draw a route and make sure they are all paved. and I setup a brand new route (with the help of Mr.Boomer370) how much time does it take? 3-4 hours and it takes me another 1-2 hours to enter the route into the GPS. I don't use google map on the smartphone because some remote area does not have steady data-signal. I done all those on my own time and effort. The reason why I volunteer to do this? so that we can get together and have fun. but the response is somehow frustrated, not only this time. if someone ask "when is the next cruise?" again..... alcheng doesn't know. I am sorry if this post (or rant whatever you call it) gets anyone upset or whatever, it is not meant that way. --alcheng Last edited by alcheng; 05-17-2014 at 03:49 AM. |

Well that sucks. Don't give up on us man. It's just hard setting up something like this but we appreciate you(and boomer) doing all the hard work. Maybe we can start the season with a meet and small drive around instead?

of cos I like to meet up with you guys and drive around and have fun. otherwise I wouldn't be doing all these. but I don't think I have the motivation to set things up again since the little response. that means, I would love to attend a meet or cruise, but someone else would be the organizer. |

It's all part of trying to set things up. I have to say, I didn't get things going until the week of.. So it was kinda late. We did mention a while back that there would be a cruise this weekend, but to the defense of others, it was never really set in stone until earlier this week. Usually I'd be hyping it up the month before reminding people on different forums and here. Work just got a little hectic. Although I would have tried the Wasaga route, it took me forever to map out and plan the first draft for you to look at. Bring your GF out on Monday, we can do a mini drive and grab lunch. You're not too far from me. And whoever wants to come out and grab lunch with us. So, don't be too upset. Things just sometimes doesn't work out. Especially when there are tons of things going on this weekend especially. Or we can meet up with the other Z guys at the Michael Angelos show and shine from 11 to 2 and grab food after. Or cruise a little and see whats up there. It,s in Mississauga on Erin Mill PKWY. |
