Nothing even close. I've driven relatively hard in 35 degree heat (celcius), and the only thing that increased was the water temp (from around 90 to 110 degrees celcius).

But, I also haven't raced it continuously in very hot weather.

You bet! But, that's for guys who mainly (that's mainly) track their cars.

Its one of those hugely misunderstood issues. Under normal driving conditions you shouldn't be going into limp mode. I drive fairly aggressively and I've barely cracked 110C - usually around 90-100. If you are going to track the car then you need an oil cooler - plain and simple.

I've hit 117C during a hot day in Edmonton (32C) {US: 243F and 90F}.
I will be getting a small Sterab oil cooler next spring with a Mocal thermostat

Yep. I'll have to put my hands on it. My cooler and mount will be different than yours. Neither the stillen or the nissan oil cooler will fit my car, it's a nismo and has the body damper running horizontal across the front core. I had to go with Setrab series 9 which is real long but low profile to fit beneath the damper.

Cool - were the cables pre-made or do you just buy lengths then cut to length?

Okay heres my parts list.
M22PL10 90 fitting coming off of cooler qty2
PS-10 Str fitting to oil cooler sandwich qty2
SP1-F oil cooler sandwich (no thermostat) qty1
FBN-10 hose black socketless hose 10'
A10F22L Setrab Oil Cooler
ABKT-310 Setrab Oil Cooler Bracket

I cut the hoses myself, fairly easy using the socketless hose and fittings. The oil cooler and bracket are not what I would use on a regular 370. Like I said the Nismo has a clearance problem. Anyway the guys at batinc.net are helpful and know what they are talking about.

ps. Nice 240
