My price for a Hakone White 370Z .... good deal?
Hey everybody,
I've been on this board for a little bit trying to gather as much information as possible. I thank everybody for their contributions. So I pulled the trigger on a 2009 Hakone White 370Z M6 Touring with Sport package (no nav) for an OTD price of $49777.00. The car is brand new (about 300km) and I will be picking it up next week! It was pretty much impossible to get my dream of getting it at invoice .... I hope I did you guys proud .... |
Taken from car cost Canada

when i picked up the 1st G37 for sale, it had 22Km on it. ______________________________________ 40349 invoice and 43998 MSRP what did you get before taxes?? |
I think it worked out to be about $1000 off
|
They gave me the speech about how the car was limited and how few all the dealers were allocated ....
|
that's what i got when i bought in 2007 when the economy didnt crash yet.
you should get better....i mean i got 1000 off MSRP and PDI was free so like 2500 off a brand spanking new G37 |
Oh well, I guess what's done is done. The papers are signed and the car will be ready by next week. I just read that most people had to wait a couple months for their car and they got roughly similar deals. So I factored in the no wait time and the chance I get to drive the car before winter kicks in.
I was paranoid that Nissan would raise the price (a la GT-R) for the 2010 and that I would end up spending more .... |
You got a great deal! Anything below MSRP is really tough in Canada. From what I can tell there were less than 100 '09 that were sold in Canada making it a super rare car. Are you in Vancouver?
|
I am located in Vancouver, the car was found in Pitt Meadows - so it wasn't too bad of a drive for me. I haven't seen too many 370Zs in the city (I do see a lot of 350Zs and G35s, G37s in town).
|
Ya man go for it!
|
considering what u just said, u got a good deal than.
congrats on the purchase! and take some pics for us |
Congrats Dude!
You're gonna have a blast driving her. Worth every penny!!! Pics please... Her Name??? Mods??? |
Thanks for all your wishes!
I am definitely looking forward to driving her I will post pics when I get the car. Nothing on my mod wish list, I think the sport package will do me well for now. The Z is a big step up from my civic ... I will have to learn some new things and drop a couple bad habits in the process .... |
hahaha yay upgrade from the honda family~! fxck honda lol
|
You got a good and leave it at that. In Halifax, there wasn't any other dealer to go to unless you wanted to try one dealer in NL or another one or two in NB. So, you guys west of the Maritimes have the luxury of playing one dealer against the other for the best deal. Anyway, congrats on the new purchase. Now go out and enjoy the 370Z experience and don't worry about what you paid.

I still have love for Honda - I just wanted to upgrade to something more sporty ... Honda needs to update the s2000

Basically you got ripped off with that price, plus 300km seems like a demo/test drive car. But grats on your white Z
:icon18: |
I'll let you in on a little secret - we all get ripped off buying a car!!! Some more than others. Do you really think the dealers are selling for "invoice?" There are incentives for dealers that only the owners are privy to. Salesman don't like this because it cuts into their commission but the dealership owner still gets his cut from the car manufacturer. If he didn't do you think he will remain in business?

I went to Ericksen nissan in edmonton to buy a 370z hakone white with sport nav and the spoiler and they tried to sell it to me for like 58k telling me it was a good deal with that whole hard to get speech and i ended up getting it for just over 49k out the door so if your in edmonton dont let them rip you off
and it only had 22kms on it when i test drove it |

I know that 300km on a new car seems like a lot - I thought it was a little high but I did put on a couple of those test kms on the car. Given the low availabilty of the car, I figured that I should get the car and enjoy it while I could.
I am loving the car! It's awesome! |
newb Q. does OTD price means.. TAX and everythingz are included??
how did u get just over 49K for nav and sport.... thats awesome deal... i couldn't get that low price in vancouver BC |
Well let's just say my appointment was at 215, and I didn't leave till 645, I was a bit late getting there but still
