Wow, I was not expecting so many replies!
Sorry been a busy week just had my second kid and am trying to a adjust and get a back into the flow of things in the house and work. I logged on a couple times through my iphone but I hate typing on that thing, but here we go. Quote:

Yes in this order it should go clean rims, wash car, clay, polish, then wax. In a nutshell. Before you rewax you should strip off the wax with a Dawn wash so that you can put on a fresh layer of wax. Surface contaminants also get in the wax that's why you should strip it off first. The reason you use alcohol after you polish is 1 to inspect your work, the polishing oils can fill in very light scratches so you use alcohol to clean off the oils 2 A oily surface will not let the wax bond properly to the paint so you clean off the oils then apply the wax directly to the paint.
