Good shop for regular service in GTA or KW

Hi guys,

I've been to a few Nissan dealerships in Ontario and Quebec so far and they've all scratched up the underside of my side skirts when lifting the car (on both the two post type lift and the drive on alignment lift). The car is stock height (which is pretty low but comon!).

Does anyone know of a good shop in the GTA that they get their regular service stuff done from (oil/fluid changes, alignment etc...perhaps brake jobs as well)?

I tried searching but couldn't find a whole lot (apologies if I missed any threads about this) - I did see mention of an alignment shop on Victoria St. in Kitchener which I'm considering trying out.

Thank you! :tiphat:

Best advice - learn how to do routine maintenance yourself. It's really not that difficult and can be done in your driveway if you don't have a garage and with basic tools. You'd be surprised how easy it is to change brake pads.

I want to add a question to that:
For oil change, since you don't have an official record of it, will Nissan honor your warranty?

Don't take my word for it but I would think if they ever tried to deny a warranty claim due to lack of maintenance you would at a minimum need to provide your receipts fot the oil and filter purchases.

This is correct. Same goes for when you service it at a non-stealership they will want to see receipts. There is members that have been doing their own services and still gotten warranty claims.

Yeah hopefully they'd be OK with receipts for oil/filter purchases etc. Though in my case, it seems like I probably won't get to claim anything on the warranty any way since it ends March 2014 and I won't be driving it in the winter.

The previous owner got all the work done at his friend's shop and had invoices from them. Right before transferring ownership we went in and got a 150 point check done from Nissan and they confirmed the warranty was still valid for everything.

I wouldn't mind doing the work myself - only problem being I'm really short on time these days (even on the weekends) and don't have any tools. Hopefully I can go that path down the road.

If you guys are aware of good Nissan dealerships around I could give them a shot as well.

Thank you all!

My buddy Kevin So at "SFG automotive" is the only person that works on my car. He's amazing and puts in more than enough time and effort into every job he does. He specializes in modifications too.

Highly recommended for any mechanical work.

Thanks Jus. I may give them a shout. I also contacted whitehead as I've heard quite a bit about them.
Ended up getting a bunch of service work done at Nissan - wanted them to administer an oil burning test since my warranty ends March 2014. Looks like I won't be getting a new short block though :)...
