My exhaust is always dirty,i clean them then after one ride there all black carbon again,i wonder why,is this normal,anybody know about this,im thinking because i got the stillen supercharger

Black exaust tips ????
My exhaust is always dirty,i clean them then after one ride there all black carbon again,i wonder why,is this normal,anybody know about this,im thinking because i got the stillen supercharger that my car was tuned too rich and thats why,can this be right ????

If it's that bad, it would be worth having the tune looked at. Do you happen to have an AFR gauge?

I have test pipes so a lot more build up will happen which is ok. Mine get dirty between washes but very easily cleaned because I polish them regularly

How do your plugs look? If they look ok then I wouldn't be too concerned but I got a feeling they will indicate a rich afr. Re-tune may be in your future.

I don't recall if you've replaced your stock cats. If you have, that's probably why otherwise I've no clue...

Yep that will do 100%, just gotta stay on top of it and give them regular cleanings. I wash my Z once a week every week and I do my wheels and exhaust every time makes it easier if you keep it regular

Running rich. I had the same problem with black tail pipes before my UpRev tune. I did intake and exhaust mods which caused the engine to run rich. A little AFR tuning solved the problem and no more black pipes.

for on the inside. But for the rolled rim of the exhaust tip I want that sh!t clean!

I wask and detail mine everytime i drive it,up to 3 times a week sometimes
But once i clean and polish the exhaust tips just one ride to town and back and they look black again,its gotta be too rich,its going in for service this week ill have them check the plugs |

ya you definitely need to look into tuning if it is only one drive
