For sale - CNT exhaust

1 Attachment(s)
Update: No longer for sale. After the HFCs, I'm very happy with this setup

I love gains from the exhaust, but I agree, without TPs or HFCs- This exhaust note is a little weak. Reminds me of the nismo or stock exhaust. Good gains though.

What are you going with instead? I thought this exhaust sounded great.

Thanks guys. I'm worried about Cel. Also, I wanted to try Replacing the resonators with straight pipes. That will cost $250. I might just go for short tails and place an order with FI. Have to hear Luciano's once he gets his

If you are going for sound I would stick with the short tails or other axleback. If you are going for performance, don't spend the $250 on straight piping and keep the CNT but get test pipes or HFC's.. Itll beef up the CNT exhaust a ton, but you will keep the gains from the exhaust.

A member on here got 326whp/268tq from CNT Exhaust, TP's, & CAI

NickTurnon is right, if you want sound you need HFCs or test pipes, thats where the low RPM rumble and drone comes from. I would recomnd Berk Technologies for the HFCs but since you have CNT cats might as well get CNT HFCs as well. They are almost identical to the Berks minus about $200 in price. And i am sure they will match up with the exhaust a bit better. My advice keep your exhaust its good, no need to sell it and get another one. I don't know if you seen/heard Miki's car. he has the short AAM Tails and even though its loud its no where near what you can get from HFCs + CBE. You heard mine and Johns, the Berks we both have make a whole lot of noise. I am pretty sure they free up a lot of power too.

I've got some F.I. HFC cats for sale that I actually took off my car and am selling because they made my car too loud.

It might be the solution you're looking for, because I an guarantee they will add a nice deep growl to your current exhaust sound.

I'd be willing to meet up if you're interested, fire me a PM

Thanks guys. Problem is, if I end up with a CEL, I'm not ready to get UpRev yet. I still have so many other mods I want to do first. How likely will your hfc give me a CEL? I saw your fs post actually, checked out your gallery too. Sweet ride!

Thanks, Ive had some fun modding my car for sure!

I never considered the CEL issue because it's never occurred to me. Is it common for the CEL to come on after people modify their exhausts?

I went F.I CBE and HFC and have never seen the CBE light come on for the 20-25,000km I've had them on.

I loved my exhaust, but I can understand elderly neighbors, and families with very young children getting pissed off about me leaving an arriving between 3-5am every morning and waking them.

i wouldn't worry about the CEL most good quality HFCs usually have a second slot for the O2 sensors, which is there exactly for that reason. So the likeliness of getting a check engine light is very low. Its much higher with Test Pipes. Which you shouldn't really be running anyways on public roads.

:roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2:

Most aftermarket parts are sold with a disclaimer.

Sure some HFC MIGHT PASS and say they will, but not all HFC are "street legal"

I think I'm just gonna get TPs or HFC then. If it throws cel I'll reset it but I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed :)

There is a big difference in the sound between TP's and HFC, make sure you know which you prefer before you go ahead and buy.
