Car meets in the Edmonton area
For those enthusiists who like to look at and talk about classic and not so classic cars, here is a list of weekly "meets" in and around the Edmonton area. This list is not a "complete" list by any means, but these are fun events.
Tuesday evenings: Gold Dust Casino in St. Albert (SE side of St Albert) Wednesday evenings: Rotary Park in Stony Plain (Hwy 16 & Hwy 779) Friday evenings: White Oaks shopping complex (137 ave. & approx 130 st.) These events usually start around 7:00pm and some have "cruises" that you can join in on. There are also some major events coming up throughout the month of August. I'll post those later. I've been to two so far this week with the new 370. Interest has been pretty high with those who are attending. I haven't yet seen any other 370 owners, so let's see if some more will come out! |

Too bad I didn't see you there :tiphat: There was a lot of good iron and I got to oggle some of the newer Camaros. The Camaro was my third choice in my adventure. Just a quick pic to share |

Miss the Molson Indy in Vancouver. Have you been to the race in Edmonton at all? I'm sure my wife would be into a road trip for that :) |
Yes, I have been twice. Both as guests of some of my suppliers (Goodyear, etc.). But, it's always the hottest days of the year when it runs. Two years ago, it was 47 degrees on both afternoons on the asphalt. Today, at 9:00am, it was 29 degrees. Now, at 2:00pm, its 33 degrees (air temp). I can just imagine what it's like on the asphalt at the airport track.
And yes, isn't that sign great?! Every time I see it, it reminds me of the 370. Quote:

Did you have the 370 there? I had mine. I was there at 7:15pm and left to go cruise around 8:30pm. Also to cool off. Wasn't it hot? And yes the new "Cameros" were neat to look at. I've seen many of them at Stedelbauer's (they are one of my bigger customers). Too bad we missed each other.
