Whats fun to do in Vancouver?
So me and the wife will be there this saturday around 1pm and want to find something fun to do that day. Any suggestions? Ive heard of some gardens, and the gas light section? We will be staying at the Reniassance hotel there by the port. We are going on the Celebrity Century to Alaska on Sunday but we will be there for Saturday and get back the following Sunday and plan to stay the night again there and fly home on Monday the 13th. Then I drive up from Florida to Z dayz in North Carolina for Tail of the Dragon Anyhow, I thought you guys might know best!
Thanks

I think you mean gastown.
Check out Stanley park during the day...gastown is a nice tourist attraction. The sun is out- so the beach at English bay would be nice. I'd recommend the Canucks playoff games but you arrive one day too late! Granville st is the entertainment district (clubs). Enjoy vancouver! Maybe you'll see my 40th around! |

If it's nice out a stroll down Robson St. for shopping and cafes is a good way to kill an afternoon. Just head about 8 blocks South of your hotel.

I'll second two already said - Stanley Park is a must in the city. Beautiful place to walk around and the Aquarium is great too.
The other one I also have to completely agree with. Rent a car and drive up to Whistler for the day. The drive up the Sea to Sky highway is breath taking. It's an easy day and a great way to see some of what BC is famous for, the mountains!

Thanks but we dont get in till like 1:40pm your time so a car is pointless. Gotta do something close because the cruise ship leaves the next day. The gardens sound really nice, ill have to check them out. She likes that sort of thing, we have a flower and garden festival going on right now in disney at EPCOT we went to this past weekend. So yah we will be there saturday night if yall are in the area and then again the following sunday night before we fly out for Orlando again. Then that wed im off in the Z to Zdays

just left this morning. Had a good time in Vancouver, its an amazing city to view and the views are just supurb! We however wont talk about how they run their cruise port or airport.....like a bunch of noobs. But, the city was amazing I had no idea Vancouver was so damn rich!! Saw 3 new Ferrari's in 1 day and it seems like everyone had a bmw or an audi or merc. Funny, you ask for a place to eat and they go, uhh its just all asian places around here. I said yah, I noticed vancouver was asia! Anyhow the Alaska cruise was awesome. I however did not see 1 370z the entire time we were there!!!! shame on you guys
