If you get the Canadian boosted performance package, it comes with oil cooler kit. You need it to keep the oil cool, lol...

Fast Intentions just released an oil cooler kit. I would seriously look into that one assuming your FI kit doesn't come with one. Z1 offers oil cooler kits, you can also source to the parts and materials to build your own. Lots of options.

Everyone will have a different opinion but I would recommend one of the ones Z1 motorsports offers they are setrab cores (so the good ones ) they have 19 row, 25 row and 34 row. Size wise depends on how hard you are on your car and what you use it for

As for why you need it here is a link for you to read

370z Forced Induction for Noobs...

Basically to sum it up the cooler your fluids are the better

180?!? Am i missing something??!?
U talking °C or °F??
Mine never hits that temp, not even in summer.....
The last drive before i parked it for the winter, the temp said +2°C outside. After 30 min of driving mine finally hit 30°C.......mine normal temp is 90°C.
Now I'll need to check, but im sure Canadian temps are all in °C right??
Your 40th Canadian or American model?

he was talking about 180F, he has an american model. Ye for me in this weather with the oil cooler the car never gets to proper operating range. And i have the Z1 19row oil cooler too. Back in October it was like -5 C out and i drove to Ottawa. That only manage to get it to about 150F. For the short drives here in the city it never reaches 140F, unless i sit in one spot reving the car for an hour.

Yup, American Z and I'm glad it doesn't have the navigation
MrSir, could you add a thermostatic plate? I've seen some on this forum cover up their oil cooler too.

thermo plates are a good option especially in the colder climates

the cover is also to help in the colder weather to help stop the oil from being to cold

I have been thinking of fabricating motorized louvers for the front of my oil cooler. That way I can close it at any time to get oil temps up, and open it when things start to get warm. I would also be able to stop any where between fully open and fully closed.

very good idea! very do able to

just make a custom little louver rig to put around the cooler

might take a bit of searching to find the right motor to do it though

I am interested if you are able to come up with something I would also consider making one

Why wouldn't u want navigation??? Its not only a nav system. it controls many other things all in a touch screen..... I couldn't imagine not having the NAV system.

I love my "touchscreen" but the factory navi is crummy. I use the google maps on my phone for navi and just play movies on the touchscreen.
