Just take your business elsewhere, companies like that wont be in business long.

If vendors reply like that, it's their loss not yours. Just buy from someone else. I only deal with Thm when Adam was there and b2autodesigns. Never had a problem with either and they understand the whole border mail thing. Many of the other vendors here I don't know at all so not even gonna ask them for a quote.

Btw, if a vendor charges more than local prices. They are seriously over pricing lol.

I just sent B2autodesigns a PM, hopefully everything goes smoothly and I get my Greddy Ti-C or Motordyne E370 without getting raped in fees.

:happydance:

B2 is good to deal with. I got a couple things from him over the winter. Just let him know that you are in Canada and see if there is anything he can do for you. Most of the vendors are very accommodating.

May I ask you guys if you paid any fees when your stuff got here? I think I'm gonna make my purchase with B2 soon.

Taxes and brokerage.

If you ship with ups, you might be able to save on brokerage. The only way to do this is when you receive your tracking. Go to the nearest ups sorting facility right away and get the paperwork. Then head to the customs center and pay the taxes. Then bring back the paperwork to UPS. Usually these buildings are next to the airport. I've done it once.

For those near the border or willing to go there. Check out kinek.com it's a must.

:iagree: KINEK FTW!!! I use them all the time! Just as an example, I had an order for approx $950 and picked it up at a KINEK spot. It would have been around $1200 for it to be shipped to my door($250 shipping ) plus the other brokerage fees etc! The savings was because lots of places offer free shipping to the lower 48 states. So I would have also probably been out another couple hundred $$$ when you add the BS fees :shakes head:

Just get your item shipped via USPS/Canada Post when ever possible. It has worked out for me perfectly. I still get the items cheaper than buying "local".

I have gotten the best pricing and service from Jomer at Fred Beans Nissan.

This!
Jomer replies within a few minutes if he is around. Also, he declares exact value kinda sucks having to pay extra but what can you do.
One last thing, Canada post use to charge $5 flat fee plus tax. Now that's $10 plus tax

Thanks for the help guys, very informative.

I live in Richmond Hill, I'm going to have to think of creative ideas when I'm getting my Amuse kit.

I might lean towards a Motordyne E370 instead of Greddy Ti-C if I can save on duty...

On another note, I am quite offended with some of the vendors here, maybe the price they quoted are not final, I'm not familiar with buying stuff through vendors. They give me a quote for my KWV3s, way too expensive, I tell them I bought it locally for cheaper but am interested in exhaust systems from them, they respond by telling me they could've beat that and good luck on finding the exhaust without even returning a quote. What kind of service is this?

are you getting rep amuse or real? cuz im looking at an amuse kit also (from north york)... down to order at same time? :)
