Killer Road Trip Planning for Summer 2013
Ok... This is a big one for me.
I'd love to plan an awesome road trip for us from Vancouver to Kelowna to Osoyoos or Vancouver to Osoyoos to Kelowna No date planned yet. Summer obviously. Feel free to help with the planning. PLEASE HELP!!! Alot of you asked me to put this together so lets see how this works out. Please don't put your name forward if you can't commit. Tentative plan. Specific dates to be determined. Friday morning or friday night departure? I only ask as some ppl my have a hard time taking a day off work. We might want to break up into a morning and evening departure And also break into mini groups when we reach the major destinations as not everyone will want to do the same thing in which case, we'll need a few mini group leads Thursday Gas up and be packed Walkie Talkies??? Charge GoPro Friday morning (Time??? between 6-10???) Tim Hortons Marine & Byrne Grab breakfast and coffee Wait for all the lazies to get of bed (I'll try not to be one of them!!!) Leave Stop in Hope to gas up and stretch our legs for a bit Boogey to either Kelowna or Osoyoos Things to do in Kelowna Mission Hill (I'll try to organize with mission hill regarding photos or lunch or wine tour or whatever) Little Straw - amazing little winery My friend has a little Viet restaurant where we could grab a meal Quail's gate (nice little winery and pricey restaurant Kettle valley bike ride (i know one of the guys that works for the company that supplies bikes... although most of us will want to start off in the middle. the beginning is treacherous without a 4x4 or a car we don't care about. logging roads amazing ice cream joint. (I had you at ICE CREAM didn't i?) beach Things to do in Osoyoos beach seadoo burrowing owl (nice winery and restaurant) small amusement park church and state (one of the best wineries) silver sage (most entertaining wineries) Princeton crazy cliff dive + lunch/picnic it is STUPID HIGH Penticton chill in floatation device and cruise down the river Hotel 1. I personally woul dhave a hard time getting off work but if you are passing or in the Kelowna area Sat evening or anytime Sunday I will meet up for sure.
count me in for sure for one day or another lol |
