Took the Carbon Silver Z for a run to Toronto today - crap weather but awesome drive and no mental traffic jams. Saw a Black 370Z ragtop parked in Leaside (Bayview & Eglington) looked nice but right front corner was smusshed....ouch that must suck. New ride and crunched already.

Never really liked DDT so probably never gonna go track there lol..

Wanna go Shannonville some day?

BTW, have you noticed any difference between before and after of Z1 oil cooler?

yeah, i'd definitely like to go to shannonville. i don't see any trackdays for there this year on touge, or even the pay per lap. what did you have in mind?

yes, the oil cooler definitely makes a difference. on the street, temperatures are about 80-90 or go up to 100 if i push it, even in hot weather. compare that to before the cooler, where my oil temp regularly went to 110 even on a relaxed cruise, and would go to 120 or so with a bit of aggressive driving.

on the track, my temp never went above 110 even when i was pushing hard. granted, it was cold on sunday, in addition to the track being short and tight so you only really use full throttle for 15-20% of the lap or so. but still, i'm pretty sure i would have hit limp mode even then if i didn't have the oil cooler. i predict a track like shannonville with more full throttle high rpm pulls and at a higher atmospheric temp would probably heat the oil a bit more, but i'm fairly confident that even then, the oil temp will still be a long way from limp mode. i definitely recommend a 34 row cooler for anyone serious about their trackdays.

Too bad Touge don't have anymore scheduled at Shannonville anymore this year. But sometimes (eg: last year) they had unscheduled lapping events as late as early November. Check out KPLAYGROUND also, they host alot of track events at Shannonville.

Touge had a few Shannonville lapping days at earlier this year, however I wont recommend going to any Touge hosted events at Shannonville when it is Very High Season simply because theres too many cars.

One of the July event they hosted had 50+ cars that went, and they had to limit to something like 30- cars on the track at the same time, and had a line up of 10+ cars waiting to go out. IMO kind of stupid for them to let so many people go, its a little bit dangerous due to the amount of cars on track = increased chance of accidents.
