Anyone Bought Theirs In The States?
Thinking of picking up a used Z in the $30k which can be hit or miss in the Greater Toronto Area. So far only less than a handful have came up in my search but there are so many in the States not to mention in some favourable climates.
I've looked through Autotrader, Kijiji/CL and the Nissan certified inventory is a joke. Any suggestions? |

I know just before buying my Z I was looking at a Porsche in Vegas, really good deal and at the time out dollar was over par. I did all my homework on bring a car in and it's not bad. What really change my mind was Porsche it's self, I don't remember what they called it but it was like a required out of country inspection which at that time was $2500.00 then the minor fee from Canadian customs and few other odds and end. By the time I added everything up I wasn't really saving much.
I doubt Nissan has the same BS stuff as Porsche but I would check into well before buying. Good luck with purchase, I would also if you haven't check out the cars for sale section in here some good deals there. |

The 370 is a fairly rare car to start with in Canada, there simply are not a lot units sold each year. Those who do buy them are for the most part, enthusiasts, so the likelihood of selling is low. Until the car is redesigned, you won't see people with a reason to sell it unless they simply don't like the car, or have to move on for other reasons - again, rare.
There are a lot more for sale south of the boarder. As stated, do a search and you'll find a ton of discussion about the pro's and con's of importing from the US. For a used car, it makes sense.

most of the Zs you see in the used dealers on autotrader in canada are actually imported from the US. I remember when i was buying mine last year, there was 3-4 of them i was looking at and running carproof reports on them showed their history of being made for the US. You can also deduce that from the VIN but the report gives you a bit more info.
