Great news from my dealer...

My car arrived today! :happydance:

I made a call about insurance to AMA, and I was pleasantly surprised by a quote of $95/mo! Granted I am 30, married and have a perfect driving record... I still thought that was exceptional!

Needless to say, I'm taking the day off tomorrow to do all the registration/insuring legwork... and then it's happy-time :driving:.

+1 White Z in Edmonton tomorrow.

Congrates!

Did your dealer update the status of the production of your car? (example, VIN, Status: at sea, etc...)

jamcro 06-08-2009 03:31 PM

No update was given, and I'm certain this was Nissan's fault, not my dealer. I think the status kept showing "Waiting at port" (in Japan).

YamahaR6 06-08-2009 03:37 PM

Icic...

Well, at least your car is finally here! Enjoy...

What dealer did you purchase yours from?

AK370Z 06-08-2009 04:33 PM

I don't pick it up until tomorrow. Pics to follow when I do!

the status thing is always off....for me...it said the car is in transit....like at sea, but was really in a yard in Montreal waiting for a car carrier.

Congrats - it sounds like Edmonton/Calagary is the place to be in Canada if you're 370Z spotting :)

Shunya 06-09-2009 07:47 AM

gratz!! have fun with it :D

Canadian370Z 06-09-2009 11:13 AM

Awesome! Can't wait to see it on the road. We should get the all the Z's together since there they are starting to add up in the Edmonton area.

GreenJalapeno 06-09-2009 11:40 AM

one question: when you order the Z instead of buying one off the lot, how much do they charge you extra?

Canadian370Z 06-09-2009 11:48 AM

I wasn't charged anything extra.

matt2112 06-09-2009 12:13 PM

the jealousy i'm experiencing is ridiculous!!

congrats on your car:tup:

IDZRVIT 06-09-2009 06:29 PM

AB370Z 06-09-2009 11:46 PM

Congratulations to another Alberta owner! Yes, there are enough of us for a meet this summer...

Canadian370Z 06-10-2009 01:13 AM

Meet half way in Red Deer sometime this summer.

After some delay from Nissan's finance dept, I finally got her home today!

Others have commented on ride stiffness, and road noise, but I think it's all relative to the car you drove previously. I shall not discuss what I drove previously... I'll just say I'm very happy with the ride & whatever road noise there is. It's a big step up for me :)

Canadian370Z 06-10-2009 07:40 PM

Beautiful! I agree about the ride and road noise, nothing that bothers me. You where never able to get the persimmon special order?

jamcro 06-10-2009 07:48 PM

No Persimmon. I doubt anyone got anything "special order". I'll hang in there with the Frost and see if it grows on me. It's definitely not bad at all... it just wasn't my first choice. I'd sooner spend the cash on performance upgrades than redoing leather.

I must say, the white looks 1000 times better in person. Pictures don't do the paint job any service because it tends to get washed out due to the brightness. With the naked eye, you can see metallic speckles (gold/silver).... I'm completely in love with this color. (I've driven 3 black cars over the last 11 years)

Canadian370Z 06-10-2009 09:09 PM

Awesome. Have to meet up sometime soon, I would love to see it in person.

no_psi 06-11-2009 12:12 AM

congrats on your purchase.I hope you enjoy the Car!!!

takayuki 06-11-2009 01:25 AM

congrats! I too was looking into getting a hakone white, but i didnt' want the frost interior..... So i ended up getting a silver one with the persimmon interior, which it isn't supposed to have..

WoZZer 06-12-2009 08:07 AM

Red Deer Sounds like a good place to meet. Sometime in July/August? Anyone in the Red Deer area that could suggest a meeting place?
