Sorry, I'm old. Don't know how to do that BUT.
Used the NHTSA connection from the SLU failure thread. Found Nissan USA on the web. Used their contact e-mail. After first e-mail, an individual called me back. They said they would push it up the line. 10 days later no line. I sent a second e-mail and received a phone call back that day. They said they would get back to me. A week later they called back and said they had my info from the dealer and would push it up the line. I continually told them I was disappointed in the 370Z. That I had been a big Nissan owner for many years. This would be my last Nissan etc. 2 weeks later no response. I had called back a few times and left messages like "what's the status?", "you said you would get back to me and didn't", "I'm not going away". They sent me a survey re my problem and how it was resolved. My responses were very negative. The next day I received a call saying a check was in the mail and I'd receive it in 2-4 weeks. 5 days later I got it. I believe that Nissan will not make a 370Z recall, too expensive but refunding money to keep customers Nissan happy is something they will do. Good luck.

Hey, out of curiosity, doy ou have your case number with Nissan? perhaps if you posted that up, people could reference it when they call Nissan, saying "check into ths case number, where you did agree to cover /refund"

Might help some folks out.

Wish I would have known you before I retired from practicing law. You're persistant and focused would have fit in perfectly in my office! All kidding aside, kudos to you. You've done what heretofore was thought to be nearly impossible.

This may be a dumb question, but all the threads I've read are confusing. Are 2010's affected? Also, is the voluntary recall campaign NTB13-014 being conducted in Canada? It seems some got notice of this but I've received nothing from Nissan. I read in a different thread that only some 2010's are affected. Anyone know?

Voluntary Recall

As far as I can tell, the recall is based on which revision of the ESCL you have, not the model year (although there is a strong correlation between the two, there seems to be a period in 2010 when some Zs got the latest revision and some didn't). If you stick your head under the dash, you should be able to see the label on the ESCL with the revision on it (A, B, C, &c). Nissan is replacing Rev A and Rev B (maybe Rev C, too, but I can't remember).

I'm not sure which countries/regions are affected but I think CA is on the list. Contact a dealer with your VIN and they can check to see if you qualify.

Guess I'll just head to the dealer. After doing some yoga under the dash to get a pic of the label (only way I was going to read that label with these old eyes was to get a pic and blow it up), it appears I have the 2nd gen Rev C

#48700-JF00C Production Date: 2009.10-2010.09

Seems 50/50 as to whether this one is being recalled or not. Rev A&B for sure, but not all Rev C's. I was hoping to go to the dealer armed with knowledge, but I guess I'll have to rely on them.

Pretty sure its 2009 and early 2010.

Since I was one the 40th owners trying to get my production number, I saw that my Z was manuafactured February 2010, so I faily confident if you are in the first half of 2010, you have REV A or B

I also got the letter and ended up having it switched out a few weeks ago just as I was going to pull the fuse.

Has this problem been experienced in 2012 or 2013 models in either Canada or the U.S.? Or did Nissan come up with a fix?

They fixed it by not installing them after sometime during the 2011 MY.
