I just don't like taking the bumper off when I have to clean the filter, and the short ram just working fine sound&performance wise, so I am happy with the short-ram.

Regarding the red-light ticket, are you sure you were at the middle of the intersection during the light change??? If so, they can't give you a ticket because of that... |
It's kinda funny that you got  by your Grandma. I would get her to pay for half of your ticket. 
Still really sucks about getting a ticket for that though.
