If you plan on doing anything to the paint after a wash I would highly advise you to clay your car! Claying is 100% the most important step to detailing your car, after a wash of course (or anything above and beyond a wash like a polish, gloss, wax or sealants)

at least you have the initiative to actually care for your vehicle, far to many people do not
